Feed with particular nutritional value
Dried Shellfish is a natural way to provide animal organisms with antitoxins and cell regenerating active agents. The gentle freeze-dried process retains approximately 80 per cent of the original chitin and protein content in the treated products.
Our range includes Dried Prawns, Shrimp, Dried Crabs, Dried Gammarus, different types of Mussels and Crayfish, as well as Dried Snails.
Molluscs and crustaceans as an important feed component
Molluscs and crustaceans are an important component of ornamental fish food. As a wholesaler for molluscs and crustaceans, our range includes Artemia eggs (Artemia salina), decapsulated Artemia, Tubifex (horsehair worms), red mosquito larvae and brine shrimp. Our Artemia eggs hatch very often and are used by our customers to breed ornamental fish (discus fish) to promote the fishes’ normal eating behaviour.
We also offer decapsulated Artemia eggs in our range as they have a high nutrient content and can be used to feed young fish. Our horsehair worms are freeze-dried and have a high protein content. The brine shrimp, Tubifex and mosquito larvae undergo a high-quality finishing process. The gentle freeze-drying process ensures lots of nutrients are retained. The Artemia eggs, brine shrimp and Tubifex are perfect for aquarium fish like goldfish and cichlids.
Dried Gammarus and Dried Snails
Our Dried Gammarus has the highest product quality. They are sourced directly from Siberia, where they are fished, refined and sieved from natural lakes. Our Wholesale Dried Snails are the perfect way to feed tortoises and fish. Tortoises benefit from the high percentage of calcium, the exceptional source of protein and high nutrient content of the Dried Snails.
Dried Shellfish is available wholesale and can also be fed to koi carp, reptiles and even birds. These valuable sources of protein and chitin complete the menu in a natural and healthy way – this is because the seafood that makes up our Dried Shellfish are sourced from uncontaminated waters and are caught in an eco-friendly way.

We answer your questions about our dried shellfish
We ensure that we use a particularly gentle drying process for our dried shellfish. This preserves the natural aromas as well as valuable nutrients in the products. In general, we distinguish between three main methods: air drying, machine drying and freeze drying. Which method is used depends on the type of shellfish and the desired properties of the end product.
The dried shellfish are produced to the highest quality standards and then carefully packaged. Depending on the type and size of product, the dried shellfish are either delivered in sturdy boxes or in bags. The type of packaging is chosen to meet the specific requirements of the respective shellfish. This is how we guarantee the best-quality product that stays fresh for a long time.
To preserve the quality and nutrients of the dried shellfish, storing them in a cool and dry place is particularly important. Improper storage can adversely affect the quality and shelf life of the shellfish. For example, if the dried shellfish attract moisture, mould can become a problem. In their original packaging, the dried shellfish have a best before date of around 36 months from the date of production.
We place great importance on meeting your individual needs. Irrespective of whether you are a small company that only requires small amounts or a wholesaler with a high demand. The minimum order quantity is one container. For customers who wish to order in larger quantities, we have not set any upper order limits. We are happy to deliver the quantities you wish to order.
